Font Illustration

Using only BLACK letters from ONE font, "draw" a character or animal and at least two objects in their world.  You must use no fewer than 100 letters.  You may only use letters, no punctuation or numbers.

Requirements:

Filename: "fontdrawing"

Size: letter-size, landscape, 300ppi

Color: only black and white

ASB Shirt Art Design

Task:

Use the sketch below as the basis of your artwork for the new ASB t-shirt.  You are not creating the t-shirt outline, just the art on it.  Make sure you use only black lines on a new 8.5"w x 11"h, 300 ppi document called "asbshirt".  Turn it in to the extras folder as a JPG when finished.

Typographic Quote Poster

Typographic posters are very popular these days with designers.  Since you have loads of Photoshop skills, try your hand at making one of your own!

Process:

1. Search for "typographic quote poster" in Google Images to get an idea what these are.  
2. Create a new document (you choose the size as long as it's 300 ppi) called "quoteposter".
3. Search online for a quote that you like.  There are many quote websites.  On some, you can search for quotes by topic (love, leadership, DESIGN [hint, hint], etc.)
4. Use your quote to create your graphically interesting typographic poster.
