Phase 1 Process:

  • Create a new folder called "big_and_small"
  • Online, find a photo of a person
  • Find a large photo of a person that shows their entire head (no cut off heads).
  • SAVE that photo to your "big_and_small" folder.
  • Create a new document called "2_lastname_bsp1" that's letter-sized, portrait.
  • PLACE your photo on your document.
  • Cut out the background of the image using various selection or eraser tools.
  • Give the background a solid color; gradient; or subtle colored texture.
  • Use the text tool to lay out the words, "Big and Small".
  • Arrange the items to show the concept of big and small.
  • Save the PSD to your "big_and_small" folder.
  • Save a JPG to your "big_and_small" folder.
  • Turn in the JPG.

Phase 2 Process:

  • Open your "bsp1" file.
  • SAVE AS to your "big_and_small" folder, change the name to "bsp2.psd".
  • Rearrange the same elements to show off the opposite big and small arrangement from your first file.
  • SAVE the PSD
  • SAVE the JPG
  • Turn in the JPG.
